Garage

A residential garage is a walled, roofed structure for storing a vehicle or vehicles that may be part of or attached to a home (attached garage), or a separate outbuilding or shed (detached garage). A garage shall be considered part of a dwelling if the garage and the dwelling have a roof or wall in common. Private garage means a building for the storage of motor vehicles where no repair service facilities are maintained and where no motor vehicles are kept for rental or sale. For the purposes of Building Regulations a definition of a domestic garage includes a carport.
